Dear PLSS Family and Supporter,                                                 

Pewaukee Lake Sailing School (PLSS) continues to be one of the top sailing programs within the Inland Lakes and the country due to our fantastic director, passionate instructors, our talented group of sailors, and most importantly the support from our devoted families, like you!

With last year’s donations, we were fortunate to be able to purchase two (2) newer coach boats and repower three (3) very old, non-working engines. PLSS was also the recipient of a donated RIB coach boat in excellent condition! Thank you to the many families for your support and contributions last year!

This year our goal turns to a special opportunity to help a critical need of upgrading our C420 fleet. Our current fleet of C420 sailboats are more than twenty (20) years old and heavily used in the middle and high school fall and spring programs as well as the summer youth and adult classes. The Milwaukee Youth Sailing Team (MYST) is currently the leading high school program in Wisconsin, repeatedly qualifying for Great Lakes Championships, Atlantic Coast Championships, and the National Championships. These same C420 sailboats are also used for four (4) summer classes: Adult, Parent & Me, Sailing for Teens, and C420 Racing. All programs and classes are consistently full every season. These boats are vital as a gateway to high school and college sailing, to run competitive regattas, and conduct day-to-day classes. Unfortunately, with this much use in our extremely old boats, they are not going to last much longer.

This year we are excited to offer the special opportunity to sponsor a C420 sailboat for the Pewaukee Lake Sailing School with a tax-deductible gift of $3,500.00.

The time is now to upgrade our current fleet of 20+ year old C420 sailboats that are heavily used during the fall, summer, and spring programs for both our youth and adult classes, and we need your help. Our goal is to purchase sixteen (16) newer (slightly used) boats to keep our sailors competitive now and into the future. A special perk for sponsoring a C420 sailboat – you get to name it!
