The Pewaukee Lake Sailing School Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Taylor Martin as the new Sailing School Director starting in spring 2017. Taylor comes to Pewaukee from New England Science and Sailing (NESS) in Connecticut where he coached collegiate and youth sailing and directed popular adult sailing programs during the summer. Taylor also has experience teaching, coaching and competing at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. While Taylor has most recently lived and sailed on both the East and West coasts, he is a Colorado native who grew up sailing on and appreciating the nuances of inland lake sailing. We are also excited about the innovative educational framework he will bring to the PLSS drawing on his academic background in secondary education and his work at NESS.
Taylor comes to Wisconsin with his fiancée Elizabeth, their tiny house and cat. In his free time, Taylor is an avid skier, windsurfer, kiter, backpacker, builder and enjoys anything else that gets him outdoors. He is a level-3 coach, USCG OUPV Captain, Red Cross life guard, and ACA Kayak instructor.
Please join us in welcoming Taylor to Pewaukee and the PLSS. We look forward to an exciting summer!
